Water Casserole
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Water casserole. Squash are loaded with water which is why they are typically cooked twice in a squash casserole recipe. Then add them directly to your casserole broth before baking. Ingredients 2 cans 10 3 4 ounces each condensed cream of mushroom soup undiluted 1 2 cup mayonnaise 1 2 cup sour cream 2 tablespoons chopped onion 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon salt 1 2 teaspoon white pepper 5 cups cubed cooked turkey 3 cups cooked rice 4 celery ribs chopped 1 can 8. As always seasoned to my taste and added extra mozzarella.
To mix it up mix together about 4 cups of cooked green beans cut into bite sized pieces and one can of condensed. Add all ingredients except topping and mix well. Directions saute onion in 3 4 stick of butter until translucent. Line the mixture in a greased casserole dish and bake at 350 f for about 20.
Mix topping ingredients together and sprinkle over casserole. This is a great casserole. Stir in about a half cup of milk a few dashes of soy sauce to taste and salt and pepper to taste. Once on the stovetop and then in the oven in the actual casserole.
Thanks for the recipe. Pour mixed ingredients into a large greased casserole. The goal is to remove as much liquid as possible during the initial cooking process to prevent the liquid in the squash from watering down the actual casserole. I chopped up one small onion and after draining the beef i mixed the beef cream of mushroom soup and chopped onions together and let them simmer a bit.
I used a store bought rotisserie chicken 1 4 cup of condensed milk in place of the water wide egg noodles cooked in chicken stock frozen garlic broccoli carrots and topped with a sprinkling of crushed garlic cheese croutons. Drain the water off and blend in a blender. While browning the beef i seasoned it with onion powder garlic powder freshly ground black pepper and a smidge of salt.
