Compare that to the carbon ripmo which weighs 6 1lbs with a fox float dpx2. The bike hit the scales at an impressive 29 lbs 7 oz without pedals or tubes. The head tube angle is 65 8 degrees and the seat tube angle measures a steep 76 1 degrees. Respectably light builds can still be had for those willing to invest in key upgrades such as the wheels.
The ripmo af frame weighs in at 8 25lbs for a medium with a dvo topaz shock. The bottom bracket sits 340mm off the ground with 435mm chainstays. The weight of the ripmo af tested here is 31 25lbs. The lines of the ripmo are unmistakably ibis.
Considering its long and slack geometry and heavier weight the ripmo af is no slouch on the climbs. That s respectable for such a big bike but it s also worth over ten grand. Same weight as my bike park bike. Weight is around 29 5 lbs with big crank brothers platform pedals.

The chainstays measure 436mm and the wheelbase is 1220mm. The ripmo v2 features longer slacker geometry and updated suspension kinematics that make it compatible with coil shocks. We were lucky enough to get a frameset in for an early test. Selling the sentinel for the ripmo anyway.
It makes for an effi cient posi tion that can go the long haul with out plac ing too much weight on its slack. It looks a lot like the original but the new ripmo has a slacker head tube angle and a longer wheelbase for more downhill shred ability. Build kits go from 400k to 9400 for the 3k frame. At 34 lbs in size large it s not zippy like some short travel carbon bike mind you but it has good angles and a steady pedaling platform.
